My name is Cindy Ksiazek and I am the new NorCal Representative. I have played handbells since I was 16 and have attended an International Symposium, a national conference and many Area 12 conferences. I am a member of the Carillons handbell choir in Redding, CA. We host the Redding Handbell Festival each year in October. As part of the Carillons bell choir, I helped to start a bell choir in Wittenberg, Germany. I am a Food Service Director for an elementary school district in Redding and have a passion for being sure that our students always have a great nutritious meal for breakfast and lunch every day. I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren that I enjoy spending time with.

Contact Cindy for more information about handbells in the Northern California area.

  • O Biggest Little Town with Tintabulations

    December 15, 2024 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Sierra Christian Church, 81059 CA-70, Beckwourth, CA 96129, USA

Tintabulations, a community handbell ensemble in Reno, Nevada, presents their winter concert of holiday stories and music.

The concert, entitled “O Biggest Little Town,” presents modern arrangements of classic holiday songs performed on handbells. Enthralling audiences near and far for over two decades, Reno's own Tintabulations Handbell Ensemble is comprised of passionate musicians focused on innovating the art of handbell performance and educational outreach. With a flash of glittering bronze, Tintabulations delivers the highest quality music and a visual feast for the eyes. Woven through the concert are personal holiday stories from group members, helping to get the audience into the winter spirit.

Since its founding in 1996, Tintabulations Handbell Ensemble (or just “Tintab,” as the members like to refer to it) has been pushing the boundaries of traditional handbell performance and entertaining audiences around the West Coast. Barb Walsh, the group’s director and retired Washoe County Schools music teacher, started Tintab with a group of ambitious high school students. The group has since grown to include ringers from around Northern Nevada and California. Tintab has performed the opening concert for the Handbell Musicians of America National conference and appears regularly with the Reno Pops Orchestra and the Reno Philharmonic.

All performances are free of charge; donations are cheerfully accepted.
