Concordia's Handbell ensembles host a concert joined by talented regional handbell middle school ensembles. 

Concordia's handbell ensembles have performed throughout the United States, as well as Europe, Asia, and Australia.

South County Community Handbell Choir and Bellissima from St. Serra Catholic School are proud to present Discover - "Entertaining Handbell Music" for the benefit of Family Assistance Ministries (FAM). The concert will include a variety of musical pieces including toe tapping handbell pieces as well as familiar secular and sacred songs spanning all musical genres. There will be pieces with guitar, flute and voices. Come and "discover" all the things that handbells can do while helping those in need. Save the date for a world-class handbell concert from one of the nation's top handbell programs. Concordia's Handbell Spring concert is a showcase of sacred, classical, popular, and new music - using over 140 handbells, handchimes, and other instruments.. 

Concert Handbells and Spirit Bells are the touring ensembles of Concordia, representing a program that has become highly respected internationally for its performances and for its preparation of handbell musicians and directors. They have performed in 12 nations of Asia, Europe, and Australia as well as 38 states and provinces of North America. Together, they perform some of the highest difficulty of handbell repertoire at a virtuosic level, including original compositions written by faculty and student composers.  They are also featured annually across the nation during Concordia’s made-for-TV PBS Special.

Rev Up Your Handbell Engines - A workshop to tune up your handbell skills & learn two cool songs.
Saturday - August 15, 2025, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Description
The workshop offers education and a terrific opportunity to ring in a massed setting for all levels of handbell musicians. Starting at 9:00 am, if participants want to participate, they have a choice of three hands on coaching and mentoring sessions:

• Weaving,
• 4-in-hand, and
• New to ringing/festivals/marking music for the day.

Then at 10:00 am all participants will explore two handbell pieces with clinician Anne Kelley, from Apache Junction, AZ. Anne is currently the Chair of Handbell Musicians of America (HMA), Area 11. The workshop will focus on technique, articulations, and rhythmic drills to enhance skills and foster group cohesion needed for confident performances throughout the ringing season. The South County Community Handbell Choir and friends will function as mentors. In addition to the group instruction, participants will ring alongside handbell musicians from more experienced choirs to learn through observation and individual attention.
