Bells on the Beach
July 1 – 3, 2022
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, San Clemente, CA
Bells on the Beach is a boutique conference experience. Come enjoy the weather and have some fun with your old and new handbell friends.
Bells on the Beach will include the following conference elements:
- Performances by outstanding groups/soloists (The Friday night concert will be open to the public.)
- Massed and divisional ringing
- Quality classes with fabulous instructors (Several of the Vegas instructors have agreed to teach at the beach.)
- Final Concert (will be open to the public)
- Biannual Area 12 meeting
- Specific time to get to know people over food. Lunch on Saturday, dinner on Saturday, and snacks throughout the conference will be provided. In addition, we will have s’mores overlooking the ocean after the Friday night concert.
While there will not be a specific youth conference, there will be a youth track of classes which will be tailored to the preparation of one piece for the final concert. Come and enjoy the hospitality of the beach town of San Clemente. We have even scheduled “beach time”.
There is a limited number of ringer positions available. Preference will be given to those previously registered for Red, White & Bells until May 14th. Even if you did not register for Red, White & Bells you can register now.
In some cases, we at this time do not have all the information finalized (e.g., not all performers and instructors have been confirmed). As information becomes available, this website will be updated. We will notify registrants and update the Area 12 Facebook page and will update the website on at least a weekly basis. Please keep scrolling down to explore the various information sections below and through the links for more about the conference.
This event is sponsored by Handbell Musicians of America, dedicated to uniting people through the musical art of handbell and handchime ringing.
