  • Concordia Handbell Invitational 2023

    During this ½ day event, you will hone and refresh yourringing skills by learning a piece of music under the tutelage of Concordia'sHandbell Faculty and members of Concordia's top ensemble. If your full ensemblecomes, you will have a piece of music ready to perform with only 1 or 2 morerehearsals. The format for the workshop is a typical rehearsal of a pieceinterspersed with technique workshops.  We will review proper technique aswell as proper execution of articulations, all the while having fun doing whatwe love. All Church, Community, and high school ensembles or individual ringersare welcome!

    The afternoon will culminate in a concert featuring each participating ensembleand the Concordia University Handbell ensembles. The intention of this event isto learn, experience the greater handbell community, and perform for anaudience of handbell fans in our beautiful concert hall. Full ensembles,partial ensembles, and individual ringers are all welcome. 

    Ensembles will need to bring their own handbells, pads, cloths, etc. We willprovide tables. We may be able to provide substitute ringers if you have gapsin your ensemble. Ensembles are invited toperform 1 or 2 pieces during the afternoon concert. Thiswill be a fantastic performance opportunity!
